Edward Moodie – Managing Partner
Edward is a Cambridge University graduate with an MA, BA (Hons) degree in Law who qualified as a UK lawyer with intellectual property specialists in London.
He then joined the Swire Group in Hong Kong and had a successful career with group subsidiary Cathay Pacific Airways where he headed the airline’s overall operations in India at age 29.
On return to the UK, Edward set up 2 businesses in London and the Far East, before moving to the US to take up an offer in the investment management industry. He qualified as a New York Stock Exchange broker and worked for a San Francisco fund manager focused on investment in Asia, now the largest privately-held Asian specialist in the US, managing in excess of US$30billion.
Edward rejoined the aviation industry after 5 years in the US and played a central role in the opening of London Docklands Heliport.
He now heads the specialist partnership Marine & Aviation Finance International (MAF), a private wealth management broker for high and ultra high net worth clients.
Edward is a member of the Law Society, MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) and the Institute of Directors.

Ray Cox – Partner
From an early career in the London shipping market and the Merchant Navy, Ray moved into the finance world specialising in leasing and asset finance.
Now with over 30 years’ experience in these markets, Ray has held senior management positions in both private and large corporate finance companies and from 1996 to 2004 owned and operated his own successful finance brokerage which he sold to a large UK finance institution.
In addition to his involvement with MAF, Ray currently holds directorships in a specialist healthcare financial company and a business sales consultancy.
His widespread financial contacts and experience gained through raising high value finance and operating at Board level with many of the leading finance institutions make him a key asset within the MAF organisation.
Ray is a member of the Institute of Directors and a Freeman of the City of London.
